We've been in your shoes!

Hi, I'm Julia Szabo. I'm a mom of a D1 volleyball player on a full athletic scholarship, and going through recruiting again with our high school baseball player.

Recruiting is very competitive.
The first time around, we thought we understood college recruiting. We didn't.
We knew our daughter was talented and hardworking. What we didn't realize was how competitive recruiting really is. Almost every college athlete was a great in high school. They played club, competed at a high level, and put in the work to get there.

Being a great athlete isn't enough.
You have to put yourself out there. That means getting in front of the right coaches, communicating, following up, and building relationships. You have to market yourself.

Recruiting has become even more competitive.
Going through it a second time, we're seeing how much has changed. The transfer portal, smaller rosters, NIL, and changes like 5-on-5 in some sports are changing how coaches build their teams. The result is more competition than ever for every roster spot.

That's why we started Recruit2Play

It gives athletes and families practical, real-world steps for the recruiting process. The goal isn't just to understand recruiting. It's to get recruited.
Ready to take the next step toward a roster spot and a scholarship?
